Capturing Carbon for a
Better Tomorrow

About ZeoDAC

On the order of 100 billion tons of CO2 need to be removed from the atmosphere by the end of the century, providing for a potential multi-billion-dollar carbon capture market. The International Energy Agency and World Economic Forum have highlighted Direct Air Capture (DAC) as an essential part in achieving CO2 mitigation strategies to meet Net Zero goals.

Expertise from two world renowned academic groups combined to start ZeoDAC. Professor Christopher Jones (Georgia Tech), who is a leading expert in direct air capture, and Professor Mark E. Davis (Caltech), who is a leading expert in zeolites, founded ZeoDAC 2023. ZeoDAC is a seed stage company based on carbon capture technology invented in the Davis research program at Caltech. ZeoDAC owns the exclusive license from Caltech to the patent protected Davis group research discoveries. ZeoDAC is part of the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) based in Atlanta, GA.

ZeoDAC strives to rapidly develop and deploy their proprietary adsorption process that safely utilizes a unique combination of molecular sieves to achieve superior carbon removal performance. Our patented technology is  low-cost, scalable, and robust yielding a more environmentally benign and more economical solution than existing options.

In addition to capturing CO2 from air, ZeoDAC harvests the water in the air that is processed. Since the process collects both products as independent streams, ZeoDAC can contribute to global decarbonization while producing a fresh water co-product.
